Deck overview

This deck is a Naya combat-control strategy built around Marisi, Breaker of the Coil. It uses cheap, unblockable shadow creatures such as Soltari Foot Soldier and Soltari Monk to guarantee combat damage against opponents. When these creatures hit, Marisi goads the defending player's entire board and prevents all opponents from casting spells during combat steps. By Turn 5, the deck establishes a full-table goad lock, forcing all three opponents to attack each other while leaving the pilot completely safe. While opponents wear down their life totals and trade away their creatures, the pilot draws cards through engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Ohran Frostfang. Robust protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver keep the engine intact until an overrun effect like Akroma's Will or Beastmaster Ascension closes out the game on Turn 7.
