Deck overview

This is a UW "group draw" control/combo deck commanded by Heliod, the Radiant Dawn // Heliod, the Warped Eclipse. The primary plan is to flood the table with symmetrical draw effects (Howling Mine, Kami of the Crescent Moon, Temple Bell, etc.) to enable the back face's cost reduction ("spells you cast cost {1} less to cast for each card your opponents have drawn this turn") and flash. The deck then leverages cheap spells to assemble one of several "draw-based" alternate win conditions: Leveler + Laboratory Maniac, Triskaidekaphile at exactly thirteen cards in hand, or the land-destruction route to Barren Glory. Big mana from a dense ramp suite (Sol Ring, Thran Dynamo, Gilded Lotus, etc.) can also power out giant Eldrazi like Blightsteel Colossus and Emrakul, the Promised End as a backup beatdown plan. The commander's front side returns an enchantment from the graveyard, which can recur key pieces. Overall, the deck seeks to control the game through mass board wipes (Armageddon, Dimensional Breach, Balancing Act) while its incremental draw advantage and mana reduction eventually enable a compact combo win.
