Deck overview

This Mardu deck uses Fire Lord Zuko to turn exile mechanics into aggressive board buffs and combat mana. Whenever you cast spells from exile or return permanents from exile, Zuko places +1/+1 counters on your entire team. Mechanics like warp, plot, impulse draw, and blink reliably trigger this ability every turn. When Zuko attacks, his Firebending ability converts his power into temporary red mana during combat, which you can sink directly into repeatable firebreathing Auras like Crown of Flames and Fiery Mantle. High-impact legendary allies such as Iroh, Dragon of the West and Fang, Roku's Companion amplify your combat damage, while spot removal clears away opposing blockers. The deck aims to assemble Zuko on Turn 3 or 4, build a wide and tall board, and eliminate opponents through heavy combat damage between Turns 6 and 8.
