Commander: Zask, Skittering Swarmlord

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Zask, Skittering Swarmlord is the single-faced commander: a high-value engine that lets you play lands and Insect spells from your graveyard, not the main beater. The core plan is to mill creatures and lands into the graveyard, rebuild an Insect swarm through Zask and token generators, then close the game with overwhelming combat or the two Grist payoffs. The hidden double-faced weapon is Grist, Voracious Larva // Grist, the Plague Swarm, and the deck is absolutely built to reach its transformed Planeswalker side. Grist, the Hunger Tide works alongside it as a flexible self-mill engine and alternate ultimate-based finisher.
