Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is the deck's main engine. Its power grows whenever you cast noncreature spells, and its once-per-turn ability turns that power into flexible U and R mana. Curiosity converts the commander's damage trigger into substantial card flow, allowing cheap cantrips, rituals, and interaction to chain together. Aetherflux Reservoir, storm spells, Guttersnipe, Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, and Niv-Mizzet, Visionary provide damage outlets. The deck also contains the compact Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity combo, but it is difficult to assemble because only generic draw and limited spell tutors access the pieces. Early turns are spent fixing mana, deploying rocks or cost reducers, and finding the Aura. The deck can create a strong turn-6 engine, but it does not reliably convert that engine into a same-turn table kill. Its main weaknesses are fragile setup, limited tutor coverage, and the high resource requirement of Aetherflux Reservoir.
