Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Vampire tribal strategy led by Strefan, Maurer Progenitor. The primary game plan revolves around dealing early incremental life loss to opponents to generate Blood tokens on each of your end steps. Once Strefan is on the battlefield, he attacks and sacrifices two Blood tokens to cheat massive, high-impact Vampires onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible for the turn. Threats like Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Necropolis Regent, Vein Ripper, and Olivia's Attendants quickly escalate combat damage while draining opposing life totals. Backed by card-draw engines such as Black Market Connections and Champion of Dusk, the deck maintains a steady stream of threats. It features solid single-target removal and asymmetric board wipes like Olivia's Wrath, though it remains vulnerable to opposing sweepers and stack-based combo wins due to a lack of countermagic.
