MonoRed - Ojer Axonil by Davenex

Format: Commander

Commander: Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might // Temple of Power

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might heads a mono-red group slug deck that converts every small noncombat red trigger into 4 damage. The front face is the entire point: Ojer comes down turn 2-3, then repeatable pain permanents such as Roiling Vortex, Sulfuric Vortex, Manabarbs, and Spellshock turn each upkeep, land tap, or spell cast into a serious tax. Damage doublers like Solphim, Twinflame Tyrant, and Fiery Emancipation give alternate finishing power, especially with Heartless Hidetsugu, whose half-life damage becomes lethal. Temple of Power is a backup land that lets Ojer return after death. The deck is a burn-control hybrid that wins by attrition rather than one compact combo.
