Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes the partner pairing of Bebop, Skull & Crossbones and Rocksteady, Mutant Marauder to execute an aggressive +1/+1 counters strategy. Rocksteady places counters on nontoken creature entry, converting every subsequent creature into growth for Bebop, who turns combat damage into massive card draw equal to his counter count. The 99 amplifies this core loop through counter multipliers like Hardened Scales, Winding Constrictor, Branching Evolution, and Corpsejack Menace, while granting evasion through Duskshell Crawler, Garruk's Uprising, and Champion of Lambholt. With life total used as an active resource to draw cards, the deck maintains velocity to deploy giant beaters like Ghalta the Unstoppable and Stonecoil Serpent. A dense package of low-mana protection spells shields key pieces from opposing interaction, allowing the deck to close games through overwhelming combat pressure.
