Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Chatterfang, Squirrel General leads a Golgari token-multiplier deck. The primary plan is to convert every token spell into extra Squirrels, then pump them with anthems such as Beastmaster Ascension, Overrun, or Triumph of the Hordes for a one-combat kill. A secondary aristocrat plan drains through Bastion of Remembrance and Mirkwood Bats, while Scurry Oak plus Ivy Lane Denizen offers an infinite-token combo. Chatterfang is a single-faced commander; the deck is built around both his replacement effect and his sacrifice ability. The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and Hazel of the Rootbloom serve as powerful non-commander engines, but there is no hidden commander.
