Deck overview

This Abzan deck utilizes the partner pairing of Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan to execute an aggressive, highly resilient +1/+1 counters strategy powered by legendary permanents. Yoshimaru provides immediate Turn 1 board presence that grows with every legendary permanent cast, while Reyhan ensures that accumulated counters are never lost to creature removal, shifting power dynamically across the battlefield. The 99 is densely built with potent counter doublers, mana dorks that scale with power, and modular support artifacts like The Ozolith. Combat-based finishers like Akroma's Will, Overwhelming Stampede, and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower allow the deck to turn massive individual power into decisive multi-player eliminations. Backed by a premier suite of free and low-cost protection spells, including Clever Concealment and Flare of Fortitude, the deck reliably preserves its board advantage through opposing interaction.
