Deck overview

This deck executes a high-synergy 5-color token and +1/+1 counter midrange strategy led by Partner commanders Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart. Michelangelo provides early board presence and generates Food tokens on combat connection, which directly triggers Leonardo to place +1/+1 counters onto all your creatures once each turn. The 99 reinforces this loop with premier token creators like Anim Pakal and Illustrious Wanderglyph, counter doublers such as Doubling Season, and high-velocity draw engines like Danny Pink and Terrasymbiosis. A suite of free interaction spells—including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Flawless Maneuver—protects the board while setting up decisive combat overruns with Akroma's Will, Triumph of the Hordes, or Leonardo's 5-color combat activation.
