Deck overview

This Selesnya deck is commanded by Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant, combining reach tribal with high-toughness combat payoffs. The strategy begins by curving out low-cost creatures with reach on early turns. When Tadeas enters the battlefield, attacking reach creatures untap and gain evasion against creatures with greater power, allowing them to connect with opponents and draw multiple cards every turn. The deck leverages toughness assigners like Assault Formation, Huatli, the Sun's Heart, Rasaad yn Bashir, and Baldin, Century Herdmaster alongside instant-speed toughness pumps such as Tower Defense and Solidarity to transform defensive blockers into lethal combat threats. While the deck boasts immense card draw and strong board presence, its reliance on combat damage across multiple turns leaves it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers.
