Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Lifegain Combo-Control list commanded by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. It utilizes Oloro's eminence ability to gain 2 life each upkeep from the command zone, generating a steady life cushion that powers draw engines like Necropotence, The One Ring, and Black Market Connections. The deck establishes early defensive stability through efficient interaction, pillowfort enchantments like Ghostly Prison, and tap effects like Blind Obedience. While it features high-end lifegain payoffs such as Aetherflux Reservoir and Beacon of Immortality, its primary route to victory is assembling compact two-card infinite combos. The main line pairs Heliod, Sun-Crowned with Walking Ballista to deal infinite damage to the table on Turn 4. A redundant secondary line pairs Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity. Supported by robust silence effects from Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos, the deck defends its combo turns cleanly.
