Deck overview

This deck is an all-in deterministic combo list built around a 97-basic-land construction. Its game plan relies entirely on casting Sanar, Innovative First-Year on Turn 4. Because Sanar is both blue and red, its Vivid trigger at the beginning of combat on Turn 5 reveals cards until two nonland cards are found. With only Magmakin Artillerist and Treasure Hunt in the 99, Sanar deterministically exiles both cards. On Turn 5, the pilot spends five mana to cast both exiled spells. Treasure Hunt resolves with zero nonlands remaining in the library, putting the entire library of ~85 basic lands directly into hand. Upon entering the Turn 5 cleanup step, discarding down from ~90 cards to the seven-card maximum hand size causes Magmakin Artillerist to deal ~83 damage to each opponent simultaneously, achieving a decisive same-turn table kill. However, with zero interaction, protection, or recursion, any single counterspell or removal spell targeting the commander or combo pieces permanently dismantles the deck.
