Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck leverages Fire Lord Azula to turn combat into a game-ending burst phase. By attacking with Azula, you generate temporary firebending red mana and automatically duplicate any spell cast during combat. The deck accelerates through early artifact ramp and rituals, transitioning into midgame combat steps where flash enablers and instant-speed burn spells take over. Damage multipliers such as Fiery Emancipation and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus stack with Azula's spell duplication to multiply damage exponentially. Massive finishers like Crackle with Power, Comet Storm, and Jaya's Immolating Inferno can eliminate all three opponents simultaneously in a single strike. Robust protection packages, including free redirects, flash equipment, and silence effects like Conqueror's Flail and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, shield the commander during vulnerable attack steps. Even when Azula is removed, independent mana generators and damage amplifiers provide reliable non-combat burn finishes.
