Format: Commander

Commander: Marisi, Breaker of the Coil

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Naya list is built around Marisi's combat lock: cheap, hard-to-block creatures connect to goad every creature an opponent controls, forcing their boards to attack each other while opponents cannot cast spells during combat. The secondary path is a myriad package-Herald of the Host, Goldlust Triad, Elturel Survivors, and Gnoll War Band-plus Gahiji, Honored One and Titanic Ultimatum/Spectacular Showdown to convert a wide attack into 40+ damage per opponent. Saboteur draw and ramp from Toski, Ohran Frostfang, Professional Face-Breaker, Snake Umbra, and Sticky Fingers keeps the hand full. Redundant goad from Disrupt Decorum, Vengeful Ancestor, and Bloodthirsty Blade reduces dependence on Marisi. There is no double-faced or hidden commander; Gahiji acts as the hidden finishing threat behind Marisi.
