Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control and synergy engine built around Hylda of the Icy Crown. It converts tapping opponent creatures into massive board advantage: creating 4/4 Elemental tokens, distributing +1/+1 counters, or providing continuous card advantage through scry and draw triggers. Early turns focus on mana development and establishing passive tap enablers like Blind Obedience and Verity Circle. Once Hylda enters the battlefield, instant-speed tap spells such as Blustersquall and persistent tap engines like Opposition or Court Street Denizen generate overwhelming board presence while simultaneously locking down opposing attackers, blockers, and mana sources. The deck protects its engine using a dense suite of efficient countermagic and defensive enchantments before closing the game via unblockable or evasion-backed combat damage.
