Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Winter, Cynical Opportunist to drive a Delirium-based reanimation strategy. During the early turns, cheap self-mill enablers and diverse card types—including artifact lands and battles—fill the graveyard quickly. On Turn 4, Winter enters and immediately exiles four distinct card types at the end step to cheat massive permanents into play, such as Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, It That Betrays, or Archfiend of Depravity. On Turn 5, these threats impose severe asymmetric resource denial or overwhelming board presence. The deck closes the game on Turn 7 by attacking with overrun effects from Pathbreaker Ibex, Demolisher Spawn, and Thunderfoot Baloth. If opponents remove the commander, a redundant suite of reanimation spells like Reanimate and Victimize ensures swift recovery without losing momentum.
