Deck overview

This Sultai graveyard deck uses Teval, the Balanced Scale to convert self-mill into continuous land ramp and board presence. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost ramp spells and filling the graveyard using efficient mill creatures and instants. Once Teval attacks, it pulls lands directly from the graveyard onto the battlefield, triggering its ability to generate an army of 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens. Mid-game turns compound this advantage through card draw engines like Kishla Skimmer and repeatable land recursion like Life from the Loam. The deck closes games around Turn 7 by resolving game-ending mass reanimation spells like Living Death or deploying Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord alongside massive beaters like Lord of Extinction and Consuming Aberration. Flying evasion from Wonder in the graveyard allows lethal alpha strikes across all opponents. While resilient to creature destruction through deep recursion, the deck remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and lacks counterspells to contest opposing stack-based combos.
