Deck overview

Cloud, Midgar Mercenary leads a focused mono-white Equipment Voltron strategy engineered to tutor, cheat, and double the triggers of powerful weapons. Cast reliably on Turn 2, Cloud searches up the optimal Equipment for the current board state and doubles all triggers on himself and his gear once equipped. The deck bypasses hefty equip costs through redundant enablers like Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, Sigarda's Aid, and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist. Equipping high-impact armaments like Colossus Hammer, Genji Glove, or Sword of Hearth and Home generates substantial card and mana flow while applying rapid commander damage pressure. Robust protection tools including Robe of Stars, Mithril Coat, and Commander's Plate shield Cloud from targeted removal and mass sweepers. While vulnerable to mass artifact wipes and sequential combat pacing across three opponents, the deck provides high consistency, rapid velocity, and explosive single-target lethality.
