The Ur - Dragon Competitive by UndeadPenguin

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Five-color Dragon tribal under The Ur-Dragon. The primary plan is to leverage Eminence and cost-reducers to lower Dragon prices, then flood the battlefield with high-power flying dragons. Attack triggers on The Ur-Dragon and Utvara Hellkite draw cards and cheat permanents, while Tiamat tutors, Kaalia/Dracogenesis cheat, and Jodah provides an alternate casting cost. Combat wins typically come from a critical mass of Dragons boosted by double-strike and damage-doubling effects from Atarka and Twinflame Tyrant. A recursion shell of Bladewing, Rivaz, Haven, and Teneb allows recovery from board wipes, and Call the Spirit Dragons is an alternate upkeep win.
