Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy built to exploit the cost-reduction mechanic of Ghalta, Primal Hunger. By leveraging efficient early ramp (Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves, Birds of Paradise) and under-costed, over-statted beaters like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus, the deck reliably amasses 10 to 12 power by Turn 3. This enables Ghalta to enter the battlefield on Turn 4 for just two green mana. Once deployed, Ghalta fuels explosive card draw through engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. The deck closes games through overwhelming trample combat damage, bolstered by mass overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While exceptionally fast and consistent in developing massive board presence, the deck is vulnerable to creature sweepers and targeted removal due to light stack interaction and a reliance on multi-turn combat clocks.
