Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm commands a Rakdos Treasure deck focused on converting burst artifact generation into overwhelming card advantage and burn damage. The deck relies on Smaug to capitalize on opposing artifacts, providing a burst of Treasures that turn every subsequent Treasure-fueled cast into card draw. You assemble engines using token doublers like Xorn and Academy Manufactor, then transition into relentless group damage via Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, and Mirkwood Bats. Secondary win lines leverage explosive bursts of mana to cast massive Exsanguinate spells or assemble Mayhem Devil damage loops with Smaug the Impenetrable, closing games rapidly once critical mass is achieved.
