Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari creature-swarm deck commanded by Witherbloom, the Balancer, which grants affinity for creatures to itself and all instant and sorcery spells. In the early game, the deck floods the battlefield with low-cost deathtouch creatures, mana dorks, and token producers like Bilious Skulldweller, Frog Butler, and Insidious Roots. Once a wide board is established, the commander lands on Turn 4–5 at a steep discount, radically reducing the mana cost of game-ending sorceries like Army of the Damned, Ezuri's Predation, and Preposterous Proportions down to just their colored pips. The deck converts this explosive discount into massive board-wide combat damage, closing games rapidly. Secondary attrition layers like Oppression and Painful Quandary drain opposing resources, while cards like Fynn, the Fangbearer provide alternate poison pressure.
