Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant is an Elf/Faerie value engine that exiles opponents' top cards on every relevant ETB and lets you cast one of them free each turn. The deck builds a wide board of cheap elves and faeries, ramps into Maralen by turn three or four, and uses tutors to pivot into several compact combo lines. The fastest killers are Deadeye Navigator with Cloud of Faeries and Obyra, and Food Chain with Eternal Scourge or Misthollow Griffin; Displacer Kitten plus Eternal Witness provides a mana-loop backup. Maralen is not a hidden-commander shell; the listed commander is the main plan, but the deck can still combo if she is answered.
