Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger and burn strategy led by Vivi Ornitier. The game plan revolves around casting Vivi Ornitier early, growing its power with low-cost noncreature spells, and using its {0} activated ability to generate burst mana. Each noncreature spell pings all opponents, turning cantrips and cheap interaction into direct burn. Midgame threats like Tomik, Izzet Sparkmage, Hawkeye, Young Avenger, and Queen Brahne amplify the noncombat damage output, while Wizard's Staff doubles Vivi's counters and pings. The deck protects its setup using a dense suite of counterspells and bounce interaction. As Vivi scales into a massive threat, evasion enablers like Key to the Side-Door and Pym Particles allow the deck to close out games through a combination of lethal commander damage and continuous table-wide burn by Turn 8.
