Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger and burn strategy commanded by Black Waltz No. 3. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost pingers and triggering repeated table-wide direct damage whenever noncreature spells are cast. Because Black Waltz No. 3 deals 2 damage to each opponent on every noncreature cast, stringing together cheap cantrips, rituals, and burn spells rapidly depletes all three opposing life totals at once. Cards like Harmonic Prodigy, Guttersnipe, and Fiery Emancipation amplify this damage output into lethal bursts. Mana velocity is accelerated by burst rituals and Storm-Kiln Artist, while wheels like Reforge the Soul reload the hand during big storm turns. The deck relies on redundancy across 1-mana and 2-mana pingers to maintain consistent pressure even through targeted removal, using targeted instant interaction and cheap reanimation spells to protect its board.
