Deck overview

This Sultai Commander deck leverages Thranduil, the Elvenking as a potent graveyard-activated-ability nexus and Elfball engine. By filling the graveyard with high-utility Elves through premier tutors like Buried Alive, Entomb, and Jarad's Orders, Thranduil gains access to devastating mana and power synergies. The deck accelerates through early turns with efficient mana dorks like Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid, then pivots into an instant-speed infinite combo. By combining the untap mechanic of Devoted Druid with the scaling power pump of Timberwatch Elf, Thranduil creates arbitrarily large power and flings it directly at opponents' life totals via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Backup lines through Necrotic Ooze, Staff of Domination, and Freed from the Real provide redundancy, while cheap countermagic and targeted removal ensure the combo resolves cleanly on Turn 5.
