Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Threaten-Aristocrats engine commanded by Marchesa, the Black Rose. The primary strategy revolves around using Dethrone and other counter generators to place +1/+1 counters on your creatures, allowing them to return to the battlefield at each end step whenever they die. By pairing free sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer and Goblin Bombardment with temporary steal spells like Act of Treason, Claim the Firstborn, and Mass Mutiny, the deck attacks to put counters on stolen opposing creatures and sacrifices them to retain permanent control under Marchesa's delayed trigger. Card advantage flows continuously from recurring enter-the-battlefield and death triggers on creatures such as Baleful Strix and Grim Haruspex. The deck closes out games through direct damage loops with Flayer of the Hatebound, unblockable alpha strikes with Herald of Secret Streams, or overwhelming boards stolen with Mob Rule.
