Deck overview

The deck's primary plan is to deploy cheap non-Human creatures, cast Winota, Joiner of Forces, and attack. Each non-Human attacker can put a Human from the top six cards directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The best hits include Blade Historian, Combat Celebrant, Delney, Streetwise Lookout, and Greymond, Avacyn's Stalwart. Token makers such as Loyal Apprentice, Legion Warboss, and Ainok Strike Leader increase the number of triggers. Strong acceleration can produce exceptional turn-4 attacks, but turn 5 is the ordinary assembly and onset estimate. The deck also contains Combat Celebrant plus Splinter Twin for infinite combat phases, although access is less reliable than the commander plan. Interaction comes from efficient removal, tax creatures, protection, and the possible Knowledge Pool plus Drannith Magistrate lock. The main weaknesses are commander dependence, combat exposure, and inconsistent access to exact payoff combinations.
