Deck overview

This mono-black deck runs 21 copies of Relentless Rats alongside commander Lord Skitter, Sewer King. The primary win condition revolves around resolving Thrumming Stone and casting a single Relentless Rats to trigger Ripple 4 repeatedly. Because the deck has a high density of identical Rats, this sequence routinely chains 15 or more Rats onto the battlefield in a single turn, each growing to 16/16 or larger. Without an immediate haste enabler like Crashing Drawbridge, the army must pass the turn once before attacking for 240+ total combat damage on Turn 7. Secondary game plans focus on swarm multipliers like Marrow-Gnawer to grant fear, life-drain burn via Ayara, First of Locthwain and Mirkwood Bats, and mass graveyard recovery through Bloodline Bidding and Rat King, Verminister. The deck's primary vulnerabilities are board sweepers and limited stack interaction.
