Deck overview

This is a Grixis (UBR) value-control deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord, built around the Ring tempts you and amass Orcs mechanics. The primary game plan is to deploy Sauron early, use his triggered ability to generate massive card advantage (discard hand, draw four) whenever the Ring tempts you, and then overwhelm opponents with a growing Army token or through reanimating powerful threats. The deck leverages the nine copies of Nazgul to steadily grow its board while the Ring tempts you adds +1/+1 counters. Secondary win conditions include reanimation of big creatures like Terror of the Peaks and Hullbreaker Horror, or a large-scale Living Death/Rise of the Dark Realms to flood the board. The deck also has a handful of combo lines for explosive mana and recursion, making it a resilient, midrange engine that can recover from wipes and grind out value over time.
