krrk by SmirgLip

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black K'rrik deck uses life as mana to turbo out high-cost black spells and assemble deterministic drain loops. K'rrik accelerates the game by letting you pay life for black pips and grows when you cast black spells, but the deck wins without him. The main wins are Mikaeus + Walking Ballista/Triskelion for infinite damage and Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top + Aetherflux Reservoir/Gwenom for storm-style life-gain kills, backed by aristocrat loops with Chainer, Gray Merchant and altars. Chainer acts as a hidden commander, recurring creatures for value and combo. Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate provide big-mana outlets.
