Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Temur wheel and token swarm deck commanded by Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Xyris by Turn 4 or 5 and immediately chaining symmetrical wheel effects such as Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Reforge the Soul. Because Xyris generates a 1/1 Snake token whenever an opponent draws a card outside their normal draw step, a single wheel produces 21 Snake tokens across three opponents. The deck converts these tokens into direct damage using enter-the-battlefield triggers like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Witty Roastmaster, or swings for lethal combat damage the next turn using overruns like Triumph of the Hordes and Beastmaster Ascension. Secondary win lines include draw-punishment burn with Niv-Mizzet, Parun and self-mill finishes using Thassa's Oracle. While the deck draws massive amounts of cards, it runs minimal spot removal and remains vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
