Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered, combat-centric build piloted by Kaalia of the Vast. Its primary game plan is to accelerate Kaalia onto the battlefield by Turn 2 or 3 using dense fast mana artifacts and signets, grant her haste or protection, and cheat game-ending Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly into combat. The deck features immediate lethal combos, such as cheating in Master of Cruelties to reduce an opponent's life total to 1 before Kaalia finishes them with 2 combat damage. Secondary payoffs like Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Vilis, Broker of Blood, and Archfiend of Despair supply massive card draw and board control. Defensive tools like Deflecting Swat, Silence, and Teferi's Protection defend Kaalia from targeted interaction. While the deck boasts immense burst lethality, its primary reliance on a 2/2 commander creates clear windows for opposing removal before protection is established.
