Deck overview

This deck leverages Council of Reeds to create an exponentially expanding army of non-legendary commander copies in mono-blue. By casting at least one noncreature spell before combat each turn, the board duplicates its Council count from 1 to 2, 4, 8, and 16. This rapid token multiplication fuels multiple complementary game plans: overwhelming combat damage, complete tap-down control with Opposition, and massive mill triggers via Altar of the Brood, Sage's Row Denizen, and The Mindskinner. Supported by efficient mana acceleration, selective artifact and instant tutors, and one-sided bounce board clears like Raise the Palisade and Cyclonic Rift, the deck transitions smoothly from setup to critical board control. Robust stack interaction and flexible protection like March of Swirling Mist and Fierce Guardianship keep the engine resilient against opposing disruption.
