Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and attrition strategy helmed by Avacyn, Angel of Horror. The deck focuses on accelerating its mana in the early turns using efficient rocks and rituals like Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, and Jet Medallion to deploy sacrifice engines such as Warren Soultrader, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Ophiomancer. Once established, it leverages Avacyn, Angel of Horror to turn sacrifice fodder and edict creatures like Fleshbag Marauder and Plaguecrafter into repeatable end-step recursion loops. This strips opposing creature boards while triggering passive drain through Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. Backup lines leverage massive mana acceleration from Crypt Ghast and K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to cast lethal Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Exsanguinate bursts, or assemble the deterministic Exquisite Blood and Marauding Blight-Priest infinite drain combo.
