Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Dragon midrange strategy built around massive Treasure generation, card advantage, and flying combat pressure. Commanded by Smaug, Wicked Worm, the list leverages early ramp and equipment to deploy its commander ahead of curve, turning spent Treasure mana into continuous card draw. Midgame turns capitalize on high-velocity engines like Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Goldspan Dragon, and Academy Manufactor to deploy devastating Dragon threats such as Ancient Copper Dragon and Cavern-Hoard Dragon. Win conditions range from overwhelming aerial combat augmented by Hellkite Igniter and Gratuitous Violence to alternate win triggers like Revel in Riches or spell-damage burn via Alchemist's Talent. High-efficiency interaction like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick defends the board while asymmetric wipes like Desolation of Smaug clear opposing blockers.
