Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on generating overwhelming token armies by converting high-power creatures into multiple 2/2 Zombies. The deck plays a traditional mid-range curve, utilizing early utility Zombies and mana rocks to set up Gisa on Turn 5. Once operational on Turn 6, Gisa activates to flood the board with tokens, which are quickly turned into lethal threats by lords like Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Liliana's Mastery. Secondary drain mechanics from Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel punish opponents for attempting to block or remove the horde. While the deck possesses immense grinding power and resilient graveyard recursion through cards like Lord of the Undead and Oversold Cemetery, it relies on natural card flow rather than tutors and remains vulnerable to well-timed board wipes.
