Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain midrange strategy led by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel. It focuses on accumulating incremental life through passive triggers, lifelink creatures, and token generation, converting that life into massive card advantage with Niv-Mizzet's ability. The deck lacks fast mana, running a standard land base and five artifact ramp pieces to deploy its six-mana commander around Turn 6. Once operational, the engine draws several cards per turn cycle to deploy formidable threats such as Archon of Cruelty, Ob Nixilis, the Ascended, and Regal Caracal. Winning occurs primarily through evasive combat damage complemented by persistent drain triggers from cards like Marauding Blight-Priest and Indulging Patrician. An incidental infinite combo between Exquisite Blood and Marauding Blight-Priest exists within the 99, but without tutors it acts strictly as a topdecked finish. The deck possesses premium targeted removal but is vulnerable to sweepers and lacks protection spells.
