Rowan [$100] by Santoprof

Format: Commander

Commander: Rowan, Scion of War

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Rowan, Scion of War is the engine of this black-red combo deck. The primary plan is to lose a large chunk of life in a single turn (usually 5-7 points from pain lands, phyrexian spells, and self-damage), then activate Rowan to make all black/red spells nearly free. The deck then assembles the Searing Touch + Storm-Kiln Artist loop, casting Searing Touch with buyback repeatedly while Storm-Kiln Artist generates a Treasure each time, creating infinite mana and damage. Tutors like Behold the Beyond, Diabolic Tutor, and Final Parting find the pieces, while hand disruption and cheap removal clear the path. If the combo is disrupted, Rowan still serves as a massive discount engine for high-impact red and black spells.
