Deck overview

This deck is a high-power casual mono-red tribal deck built around Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary strategy focuses on deploying cost reducers and mana rocks during the opening turns to accelerate into Lathliss by turn four or five. Once the commander is established, casting subsequent Dragons triggers Lathliss to generate 5/5 flying Dragon tokens, rapidly building an overwhelming board presence. Direct damage engines like Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, and Dragon Tempest convert creature deployment directly into burn damage against creatures, planeswalkers, and opponents. The deck closes games across turns six and seven through large aerial swings boosted by double strike from Terror of Mount Velus, firebreathing pumps, or sweepers like Chandra's Ignition. While the deck possesses explosive midgame power and robust redundancy among its threat suite, it remains vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and countermagic due to minimal stack protection.
