Athreos, God of Passage by magicka

Format: Commander

Commander: Athreos, God of Passage

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Athreos, God of Passage commands an aggressive Orzhov aristocrats deck designed to grind opponents down through persistent creature sacrifice and life drain. Athreos creates a punishing dilemma for opponents whenever your creatures die, either taxing their life totals directly or refilling your hand with cheap fodder. The primary game plan establishes recurring sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar and Warren Soultrader alongside drain engines such as Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Zulaport Cutthroat. The deck finishes games by accumulating massive board advantage, unleashing explosive mass recursion spells like Rally the Ancestors and Raise the Past, or casting game-ending bombs like Bolas's Citadel, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Torment of Hailfire.
