Commander: Shelob, Child of Ungoliant

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Shelob, Child of Ungoliant is the center of a black-green spider tribal deck that wins through combat: reach blockers, deathtouch threats, and Food-token payoffs. Shelob makes other Spiders into deathtouch blockers, converts dead blockers into Food tokens, and serves as the main attacker. The hidden game plan is Fynn, the Fangbearer plus Aveline de Grandpre: enough small deathtouch hits can end the game by poison, while Aveline balloons Shelob into a one-swing commander-damage killer. Pippin, Warden of Isengard and Peregrin Took turn the Food plan into a pump-and-haste alpha strike. The deck has no fast infinite engine; it wins through incremental board mass, then one large combat turn.
