Deck overview

This is a mono-red token-and-burn deck helmed by Purphoros, God of the Forge, built around the classic "Purphoros + tokens" engine: flood the board with cheap red creature tokens, and let every single ETB drain the table for 2. The deck layers multiple redundant pingers - Agate Instigator, Molten Gatekeeper, Slash, Reptile Rampager, Raphael, Tough Turtle, and Warstorm Surge - so the burn plan functions even if the commander is answered. The real power spike comes from the damage-multiplier package: Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, and Insult // Injury turn each token into 4-6+ damage to each opponent. Token engines like Krenko, Mob Boss, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, Goblin Rabblemaster, and Howlsquad Heavy provide the fuel, while burst spells Song of Totentanz and Tempt with Vengeance close games. It is a straightforward, resilient midrange burn deck that wins through overwhelming incremental damage rather than combo.
