Commander: Saruman, the White Hand

Deck overview

Saruman, the White Hand is a spell-slinging amass deck. Every noncreature spell grows a single huge Orc/Goblin Army, and the plan is to chain instants and sorceries until that Army can one-shot opponents. The primary win is combat: pump the Army, then use Assault on Osgiliath to give double strike and haste. The Great Goblin and Death to Our Enemies add reach and Treasure acceleration, while Great Goblin, Foul-Hearted supplies trample. Saruman the White is a backup amass trigger, but the deck is built around the commander's scaling trigger, not a hidden commander. Saruman's own ward {2} and the amass payoffs make the deck a midrange value-combat strategy rather than a combo deck.
