Deck overview

Shilgengar, Sire of Famine leads an Orzhov reanimator and aristocrats deck that exploits Angel sacrifices to fuel mass resurrection. By sacrificing high-toughness Angels such as Angel of Serenity or Serra's Emissary, Shilgengar generates six or more Blood tokens in a single action, enabling its {W/B}{W/B}{W/B} ability to return all creature cards from the graveyard simultaneously. Once resolved, the board overwhelms opponents through massive flying Demons, oppressive asymmetric attrition like Archfiend of Despair and Gisa, Glorious Resurrector, or instantly executes an infinite drain loop via Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Defiant Bloodlord. The deck pairs potent single-target removal and modal sweepers like Farewell with robust recursion. While its high mana curve and thin ramp package demand careful early sequencing, Shilgengar's explosive mass reanimation converts a single turn of setup into a table-closing finish.
