Toshiro Umezava by Lauzi

Format: Commander

Commander: Toshiro Umezawa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toshiro Umezawa leads a mono-black instant-heavy control deck that converts every opponent creature death into card advantage. The primary plan is to control the board with 19 instant-speed removal spells, recasting them repeatedly with Toshiro to generate attrition and drain. Secondary paths are big-mana Exsanguinate, Revel in Riches Treasure win, and mass reanimation via Rise of the Dark Realms and Sheoldred // The True Scriptures. Toshiro is a repeatable recursion engine, not a combo piece. There is no true hidden commander; K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth acts as a secondary mana engine that accelerates black spells but the deck is built to use Toshiro's graveyard recursion face.
