Deck overview

This mono-black combo deck aims to assemble an infinite lifegain and drain loop using Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Exquisite Blood (or Bloodthirsty Conqueror). Because the commander provides one half of the combo in the command zone, the deck only needs to find and resolve Exquisite Blood to threaten an immediate table kill. With 58 total lands, the mana base never misses a land drop and runs without color issues, reliably casting Vito on Turn 3 and Exquisite Blood on Turn 5. Powerful black tutors such as Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Imperial Seal locate the missing combo pieces. However, the heavy land count causes severe top-deck dilution in longer games, and the list lacks instant-speed interaction and protective countermagic, making it vulnerable to well-timed removal.
