Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Simic combo-control list commanded by Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student. It leverages Tamiyo's low mana cost and straightforward transformation condition to establish an early planeswalker engine that generates card advantage and recurs critical spells. The deck accelerates through dense 1- and 2-mana ramp into powerful cheat enablers like Show and Tell, Eureka, and Kona, Rescue Beastie. These enablers drop format-warping threats such as Omniscience, Hullbreaker Horror, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, and Portal to Phyrexia well ahead of curve. Once a centerpiece resolves, the deck protects its lead with a robust suite of free and low-cost interaction, including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Veil of Summer. The primary victory condition utilizes Hullbreaker Horror to bounce and recast positive mana rocks, generating infinite mana and storm counts before deploying Aetherflux Reservoir to eliminate all three opponents in a single decisive turn.
